Who we are
Health Naturing Company is a Uganda-based youth-led social enterprise dedicated to improving maternal health and well-being. We were founded to address an often-overlooked challenge, poor breast hygiene among breastfeeding mothers.
We design, locally manufacture, and distribute reusable, eco-friendly nursing pads, offering a sustainable and dignified solution for mothers. Beyond our products, we lead education and community outreach programs that promote hygiene, prevent infections, and empower mothers with confidence and care.
Through innovation and community partnerships, we are redefining maternal care by combining locally made solutions with health education. Our approach not only enhances the breastfeeding experience but also supports environmental sustainability and economic empowerment for women involved in our production and outreach initiatives.
The Challenge We’re Solving
While Uganda records high breastfeeding rates, many mothers face infections caused by poor breast hygiene and lack of affordable, safe nursing solutions. These infections often disrupt breastfeeding, leading to malnutrition and increased infant illness. Globally, 10% of breastfeeding mothers experience mastitis, a painful condition linked to inadequate hygiene and support.

The Product
Health Naturing Company produces reusable, eco-friendly nursing pads designed to prevent breast infections, enhance comfort, and reduce waste. Our locally made products provide mothers with a safe, affordable, and dignified breastfeeding experience.
The Approach
We go further than production. Through hospital talks, rural health camps, and awareness programs, we promote breast care, hygiene, and safe breastfeeding practices, ensuring lasting impact within communities.
